Camp Food
The camp community gathers in our Chadar Ochel (dining hall) for three meals a day. As a community Camp, we serve delicious and nutritious meals. All food is kosher (non-supervised).
Our kitchen facility is peanut and tree-nut aware. We always offer a vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free option when our main offering contains meat, dairy or gluten. To ensure children have enough ‘fuel to burn’ we also serve snacks during the day and at night-time which can include fruit, yogurt, cereal bars and cookies. “Canteen” is offered three times a week and gives our campers the opportunity to have a treat such as a chocolate bar, bag of chips, or yogurt tube.
Meals are served family-style. Platters are passed around the table allowing campers to choose what they want to eat. It’s an opportunity to try new things and enjoy old favourites. Our kitchen staff work hard to prepare healthy and balanced meals that fuel our campers and staff for their active camp day. We aspire to make camp food that campers are familiar with and so our menu is thoughtfully created to include a variety of meals and lots of choices to ensure everyone can find something they love to eat.
