Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a programme for young people ages 14 - 24 who chose to take on a challenge. There are three levels to the Award programme - Bronze, Silver and Gold. At each level participants complete minimum requirements in each of the four sections including physical recreation, community service, a skill, and an adventurous journey.

The Duke of Edinburgh Awards were created as a way for each participant to set individual goals for personal improvement and growth. As part of this award there is an outdoor component for each of the three levels.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (Manitoba Division) schedules adventurous journey trips with camps and outfitters as a means to promote opportunities for young people participating in The Award program to complete the adventurous journey component.

A big part of what we do at BB Camp is get people outside and empowered to achieve their personal goals. In saying this, the Duke of Edinburgh Award is a great fit, as it involves the outdoor empowerment and growth that we love to see.

BB Camp Wilderness Adventures provides opportunities and supports participants at both the silver and gold levels of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Program by offering the following trips:
