Playmore Day Camp Adventures offers six sessions (three days or five days (Sessions 5 and 6 only offer a three day or four day session) during its regular camp season:
Campers are divided into three age group units:
- JUNIOR (4 & 5 year olds)
- INTERMEDIATE (6 - 8 year olds)
- SENIOR (9 - 12 year olds)
Within each age unit, campers will participate in a variety of daily activities in waterfront, sports, arts 'n crafts and outdoor adventures. Typically, each unit has 15 campers and is supported by four day camp staff. Throughout the day, units will participate in two one hour blocks of programming in the morning, and two one hour blocks of programming in the afternoon. The three units will have snacks and lunch time together and a general swim program.
The Counselor-in-Training Program (or CIT) is designed for youth ages 13 & 14 years, hoping to one day become a camp counselor. Participants have the option of attending up to six sessions and each session will focus on various components of camp routine and skill development.
During the program, the participants will gain insight in all aspects of camp life: the role of the counselor, working with children, the planning of activities, creativity, safety, how to work with varying age groups, etc.
The CIT. program is also an exciting experience in meeting and working with others! Alongside peers with similar interests, participants will have the chance to develop their personal leadership, their creativity, and gain new skills.
Program will be limited to 15 participants per session.
