BB Camp Reaquaints with Toronto Alumni

The inaugural BB Camp Alumni get together in Toronto was held on November 5th at the home of Donna Chudnow. There was a fantastic turnout at the event with close to 50 BB Camp alumni in attendance.   It was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends, make some new ones and relive experiences of the Camp. Some of the alumni had only retired from BB Camp in the past five years, while others had worked at Camp in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.  The evening featured presentations from alumni Marsha Cowan, CEO of The Jewish Foundation of Manitoba and alumni Michael Miloff, who currently works with BB Camp as a mentor through JCamp 180 (formerly The Harold Grinspoon Foundation).  Both Marsha and Michael shared opportunities for alumni to help strengthen BB Camp's future through planned giving, support to its Endowment Fund, and capital donations that provide matched funds through JCamp 180.

There was a great deal of enthusiasm for the upcoming Alumni Weekend and discussions of future planned events for Toronto alumni.  BB Camp would like to extend a special thank you to Donna for opening her home for the evening program and Milton Lecker of Simply Magic Catering & Smokin Bones Barbeque Catering for generously catering the event.

We look forward to holding other Alumni get togethers in other Canadian cities in the upcoming year.
